Progress made?

Well its been a while since my last post but progress has been made. After agonising for literally days about what to do next after my two serial disappointments when applying for a Google Adsense account I have decided to forgo - for the time being at any rate - anything that requires having an Adsense account as a sine qua non. Accordingly I have removed all the shortcuts on my computer desktop to the project that I was trying to implement and have started a new one.

This involved paying for and downloading a fresh turnkey ('turnkey' when used as an adjective to describe a website and/or marketing system denotes a product which is designed to be very all-inclusive and to incorporate EVERYTHING that one needs in order to have a cash-generating website) system which I have duly done and am now coming to grips with! Since this system looks very promising and I expect great things from it I'm going to disclose its name: it is something called "The Affiliate Code" and is designed to allow people who don't have a pre-existing website already stocked with sellables to learn everything they need to know - and set up in short order - a website of their own from which they can sell other peoples' products - you don't have to create your own! - and make gradually increasing incomes for themselves by acting as purveyors of other peoples products. The reason why I bought into this guy's system rather than someone elses is simply because he promises that all the technical aspects - which too many other vendors of turnkey systems gloss over and don't treat adequately - are very fully explained with his system.

That's all for now, I will post again when I've made inroads into implementing this system.

Well, it galls me to have to report that after waiting another three days for the Adsense team to review my application they turned me down again! However, to their credit this time they were very specific about what I needed to do to please them. They cited the reason for my rejection this time as being due to the site being 'under construction' - or so it evidently seemed to them. I must admit that when the website was created - I used dedicated software for this which creates a fully 'stocked' authentic website - I was underwhelmed by the content! The user doesn't have any control over this and the content - which covers five niche categories - appears to consist entirely of short essays on a plethora of topics. One criticism made that I can understand is that the site doesn't have a navigation key or set of obvious links that will enable a casual Internet surfer to access a site index that will allow them to get a rapid idea of the site's overall content. Point made and taken.

I'm feeling sufficiently disillusioned with the purveyor of this software at the moment - though the bonus package that came with the purchased site-creation software was good and copious - that I probably won't bother with trying to implement the rest of her Internet business blueprint because repeated attempts to reach her by e-mail have resulted in no response whatsoever so it's looking like a classic case of an Internet vendor who scarpers fast once she's got the punters' money!

I've spent many days - too many! - mulling over the lessons to be learnt from this and trying to figure out what to do next. I'm inclined at the moment to spend more money responding to a pitch for a complete automated system created by a man who appears to have gone through many of the trying things I've encountered and promises to supply you with a system where you are never left wondering what you have to do next! I don't like the thought of possibly sending good money after bad but I NEED to have a website of my own with products that others will buy! This guys' credentials appear respectable but I intend to do some research on him and what others think of his system before forking over yet more money. I will report on this in the next blog.

(In case anybody is wondering, the reason why I am not naming names at this point is because I don't know what the law is on Libel when writing things about Internet Merchants! I don't particularly want to be sued by anybody even if the things I might choose to say about some merchants and their products happen to be the truth. I will give kudos if I come across a system that is really good and that I can seriously recommend!)

Automating Income blog no. 2

Right. Onwards. The day after my first blog I re-applied to Google for an Adsense account with them. One of the mentors that I have recommends that you create a blog account with Google-owned blogger.com so that when you formally apply to Google for an Adsense account and are requested to inform Google of what your website URL is - which is standard procedure - that you have an actual pre-existing website - or at least a blogging presence on the Internet - that you can refer them to to inspect. I have now submitted a fresh application to the Google Adsense people using this blog address as my cited URL on the Internet. You can do this too as there is no cost. It is a good way to start if you don't currently have/own a website and would like to get started nevertheless.

It routinely takes about three days to get a response back from Google (they get inundated) telling you whether you have been successful and as I write I have yet to hear from them so can't really say much else for today until I know whether they've accepted my application or not. Hopefully that will be tomorrow. (March the 3rd) My next post will follow once I know.

Bye for now,

Automating Income

Hi all,

This is a brand-spanking new Blog that is intended for others like myself who are seriously interested in developing an income - or better yet, multiple streams of income for themselves - working from home using the Internet. This is intended for people who don't want to work for more than just a few hours a day and for whom the Internet symbolizes - amongst many other things - liberation from the traditional model of Work as something you do for eight hours every day Monday to Friday! I think an awful lot of us would like to get away - preferably for ever! - from such a life-sapping ethic of work and transform the portion of our lives that we unavoidably devote to making an income for ourselves into time that that can be creative, lucrative and - ideally - fun!

I have recently set up a website which houses material that I have bought into. (I'll give the URL presently) It has long seemed to me that the best option available to people like ourselves who are more interested in lifestyle and worthwhile income (as opposed to just owning a business for its own sake) is to seek out others who are already conspicuously successful at making money for themselves online and pay them whatever they are asking to have the right to duplicate their success. This is my business philosophy and is the mindset that will prevail on this web log! Please DO NOT read into that that it is okay to plagiarize the copyrighted materials of others! That is unethical and unlawful. But if - as I have done -you have forked over money in good faith to some Internet merchant to buy the right to use their system then it seems to me that everything is hunky-dory and that you shouldn't run into difficulties with, for example, the Google Adsense people - who I hope will be playing a significant part in the evolution of my own Internet kingdom!

I will check in here on a regular basis to give you updates on how my own endeavour to generate Internet income streams - note the plural! - for myself is coming along. If you share the business philosophy I mentioned and have similar aspirations yourself then you're very welcome to come back here and check this blog on a regular basis. In time what you should be seeing gradually develop is a step-by-step account of how a fledgling Internet entrepreneur wannabe converts his dreams into a practical reality!

Some background.

I would describe myself as quite computerate - a power user in fact - but I'm a newbie to Internet publishing of any kind. You won't find any irritating "your" when "you are" (you're) is meant anywhere in any text drafted by this author! I note that the spelling checker that this blog is being created in is Amerocentric in that it regards typically English spellings of certain words as being mistakes! Nevertheless I will pertinaciously persist with spelling certain words in the same way that I've always spelt them!( English correct is just as inherently correct as American conceptions of what is right in spelling.) I am the webmaster of a regional chess website in England (which was created by the work of another man and which I have simply taken over the running of as an already going concern) and know basically enough about HTML coding to be able to create links in documents that work but not a great deal more than that so you don't need to feel that I'm someone who is light-years ahead of you in his comprehension of Internet technicalities - I'm not!

After due research and exercise of discretion I have invested money in three prospective money-making Internet ventures that I like the look of and think can do the business. Each is a complete package in itself - allegedly! - and I will report back to you on what I find the actual practical realities to be.

A prerequisite for making money online with at least two of these is that you need to have a Google Adsense account - or something similar. About ten days ago I formally applied for one of these and after waiting the regulation 3 days for a verdict - accepted or rejected - was consternated to be told that my application had been rejected for the time being. I wasn't given a single specific reason for their turning me down - which would have been genuinely helpful and would have left me knowing exactly what I needed to change on my website in order to make it acceptable to them - but got instead a vague directive to 'review the guidelines' and subsequently spent 3 or 4 days trying to figure out which category my website had failed on. There were about 13 categories of unacceptable to Google Adsense content - several of which subdivided into minor clauses - and since my innocuous enough - or so I thought - website had displeased the evaluators I was left with no alternative but to surmise that presumably they felt that I was unscrupulously using others people's material; well, yes, but damn it I have paid to use this content! I'm not infringing anybody's copyright!!

Right, the web address of the website that I have bought a hosting domain for and intend to use in future to achieve great things financially - I hope! is:

www.automatingincome.com

Provided Google sanction it I hope to have Google Adsense ads on this website in due course.
I'll tell you more about where I got the content from and how you might like to benefit from it in a future posting. Stay tuned!
