Progress made?

Well its been a while since my last post but progress has been made. After agonising for literally days about what to do next after my two serial disappointments when applying for a Google Adsense account I have decided to forgo - for the time being at any rate - anything that requires having an Adsense account as a sine qua non. Accordingly I have removed all the shortcuts on my computer desktop to the project that I was trying to implement and have started a new one.

This involved paying for and downloading a fresh turnkey ('turnkey' when used as an adjective to describe a website and/or marketing system denotes a product which is designed to be very all-inclusive and to incorporate EVERYTHING that one needs in order to have a cash-generating website) system which I have duly done and am now coming to grips with! Since this system looks very promising and I expect great things from it I'm going to disclose its name: it is something called "The Affiliate Code" and is designed to allow people who don't have a pre-existing website already stocked with sellables to learn everything they need to know - and set up in short order - a website of their own from which they can sell other peoples' products - you don't have to create your own! - and make gradually increasing incomes for themselves by acting as purveyors of other peoples products. The reason why I bought into this guy's system rather than someone elses is simply because he promises that all the technical aspects - which too many other vendors of turnkey systems gloss over and don't treat adequately - are very fully explained with his system.

That's all for now, I will post again when I've made inroads into implementing this system.

Well, it galls me to have to report that after waiting another three days for the Adsense team to review my application they turned me down again! However, to their credit this time they were very specific about what I needed to do to please them. They cited the reason for my rejection this time as being due to the site being 'under construction' - or so it evidently seemed to them. I must admit that when the website was created - I used dedicated software for this which creates a fully 'stocked' authentic website - I was underwhelmed by the content! The user doesn't have any control over this and the content - which covers five niche categories - appears to consist entirely of short essays on a plethora of topics. One criticism made that I can understand is that the site doesn't have a navigation key or set of obvious links that will enable a casual Internet surfer to access a site index that will allow them to get a rapid idea of the site's overall content. Point made and taken.

I'm feeling sufficiently disillusioned with the purveyor of this software at the moment - though the bonus package that came with the purchased site-creation software was good and copious - that I probably won't bother with trying to implement the rest of her Internet business blueprint because repeated attempts to reach her by e-mail have resulted in no response whatsoever so it's looking like a classic case of an Internet vendor who scarpers fast once she's got the punters' money!

I've spent many days - too many! - mulling over the lessons to be learnt from this and trying to figure out what to do next. I'm inclined at the moment to spend more money responding to a pitch for a complete automated system created by a man who appears to have gone through many of the trying things I've encountered and promises to supply you with a system where you are never left wondering what you have to do next! I don't like the thought of possibly sending good money after bad but I NEED to have a website of my own with products that others will buy! This guys' credentials appear respectable but I intend to do some research on him and what others think of his system before forking over yet more money. I will report on this in the next blog.

(In case anybody is wondering, the reason why I am not naming names at this point is because I don't know what the law is on Libel when writing things about Internet Merchants! I don't particularly want to be sued by anybody even if the things I might choose to say about some merchants and their products happen to be the truth. I will give kudos if I come across a system that is really good and that I can seriously recommend!)

Automating Income blog no. 2

Right. Onwards. The day after my first blog I re-applied to Google for an Adsense account with them. One of the mentors that I have recommends that you create a blog account with Google-owned blogger.com so that when you formally apply to Google for an Adsense account and are requested to inform Google of what your website URL is - which is standard procedure - that you have an actual pre-existing website - or at least a blogging presence on the Internet - that you can refer them to to inspect. I have now submitted a fresh application to the Google Adsense people using this blog address as my cited URL on the Internet. You can do this too as there is no cost. It is a good way to start if you don't currently have/own a website and would like to get started nevertheless.

It routinely takes about three days to get a response back from Google (they get inundated) telling you whether you have been successful and as I write I have yet to hear from them so can't really say much else for today until I know whether they've accepted my application or not. Hopefully that will be tomorrow. (March the 3rd) My next post will follow once I know.

Bye for now,
